dpsn-96dp-1 it's dead a few smt resistors on the underside look nicely cooked... black lead on the psu controller 1001dl1??? any ideas??? as far as i can see it's a flyback topology supply? |

Not really my thing, but I gather that the PSUs are a weak point on Xboxes.
As a result, there seem to be a number of aftermarket replacements available, or I've seen a standard AT supply suggested, if you don't mind an external box. |

I just fooled with one having a blown fuse and shorted switching device. Victim of lightening. Replacing those brought no joy, so I gave up. With enough time I could fix it, but a new one is only $10-30 on eBay so why bother. If I have to order two parts, shipping will approach or exceed that.
