Hello friends, I need an outline of source chauvinists with entrance of 220 volts, exit of 13,8 volts and 100 Ah of current. If somebody has, at once I thank.

Hi
Output of 100Ah is simple, use 1A 13.8v for 100h and you will have what you want |

foxelectronic,
In the context of Modern Power Electronics, your requirement is not a difficult one. If you are serious, it can be done. Your requirement is 13.8 v and 100A , that is 1380VA. Your input voltage is 220V. So, you require approx. 7A from input source. Very simple circuit. You can do it with IGBT Module and discreet IC. But I will advocate you to go through Microcontroller route and then you will find it is so easy and interesting. Modern Power Electronics Technology incorporating Microcontroller Controlled Process made things possible which was earlier impossible. If you are serious, I can help you. |

Thank you very much for assisting me, I am wanting to set up that source, but I don't know them you formulate to calculate the transformer for the source chaveada. She can help at once I thank. Fort hug.
Excuse my English it is with translation, through software (globalink). |

I think, for better efficiency and if you are not particular about the isolation, you can for a buck converter. You can improve on the input power drawn. This is an easily achievable target.
When you say 100Ah. Is that Amp/Hour??? I am a bit confused. This term is not used for an AC/DC converter. This is used only for only for battery-powered supplies. |

@Luka .
You forget about the Peukert factor . With such a low power consumption like 1 Ampere your 100 Ah battery will actualy last maybe even up to 150 hours . @foxelectronic. With a conventional transformer it will be heavy and when you use thyristors for rectifying you could even regulate the current . The minus is that it will be a very big and heavy machine . Last week i builded a charger like that and its 25 kilo easy (thats without elko's or finer regulation)

You know how those oldtimers (like me) are .
Conventional transformers of 2500 or 3000 VA or if needed 3 of them in 3 phase . Robust very straightforward and unless mistreated very bad virtualy indestructable .

Yes, old method of linear mode power supply is very reliable with less or no emi or rfi and virtually indestructible but for high power one, weight would be enormous and cost will be huge.
Consider about the one walkura mentioned- about 25 kg. That's why smps comes and with switch mode, the weight will be maximum 2-4 kg. Now a days, high power dc to dc conversion is made through controller controlled chopping and rectification method. Using Ferrite Transformer for high power is also used but efficient heat dissipation system for the heat generated within the wire turns and core has to be incorporated in that system which is a real problem for the durability of the high power system.
