I need a schematic for a low voltage input dc/dc converter to power an 1W white LED from an 1,2V NI-MH cell.
Thanks |

Check the Elektor magazine website. A couple of months ago a colleague brought in a 3-pin device that did it all, and was free with the magazine.

Linear Technology described a very low voltage DC-DC converter using NFet and PFet synchronous rectifiers -- the LTC3490. TI has the TPS61020 which has even lower min V(in). The TI part is around $3.15 in singles.
