so I quickly found out designing a tube power supply is more difficult than designing one for a gainclone...unfortunately I can't seem to find a lot on the subject and some sites even contradict each other. I'm running three tubes in the amplifer (955, 6e5c, and 6c33c). The voltage outputs for the power supply need to be 200V, 240V, and 300V respectively. For the recitfier I'm using a 4652 tube (tested and working...love the flea market). I was thinking about getting a hammond transformer (good quality/price ratio).
Need a little guidance in designing it as I have never designed anything that worked at over 50V. Don't want to fry myself. |

How many milliamps do you need at each voltage.
Which voltage is the front end and which is the power end? Help us to help you!
