Dave nice finish on those Frugal Horns, great dark with copper drivers. Who put that good looking donut on the floor, that draws attention.
The mini fonken looks like a great build!

Chris gets credit for the finish. Those actually have purplish FE126eN^2 in them.

The "mini Fonken" are uMar-Ken6.2. 2.5 litre internal volume. Quite small.

The donut is a dog's toy.

Default My Personal µFonken SET

"cooper/dusty orange" FF85wKeN installed. Beautiful, and pretty good sounding.

Bespoke, unique solid wood art builds similar to these and Bernie's Locust pair are going to be offered to those willing to pay a premium for a functional art-piece.

Bernie is working on the woofTs to match this pair, using 2 4" Peerless in a Woden designed ML-TL. They will be the same footprint and act as 32" tall stands. Will relieve the FF85 from the heavy lifting and should extend LF down to where a subwoofer(s) can be added for a truly full-range system

Very nice work!

Any subtle differences in sound between because of change in cabinet wood type?

When we get them together for a party we can compare.

Default Woof-wT with EL166x2

Chris' build, with the Mar-Kel70wT on top (intension is, as long as the woofer passes) to finish to complement the MK70wt.

One other set of these has been built to support Mar-Ken12T

No comments yet. Giving them some break-in.

Well, they look a lot better than mine. Commitments have stopped me from playing too much but today will see some tuning done.

Need to finish my monolithic version! Cabs are done sans bracing, now taking ages to mount the drivers and connect the hook up wire...

Haven't you repurposed your Mar-Ken12T cabs? Or you still have a set?

Dave,

Maybe this question has been asked before, but why do CGR-Ken's have drivers offset towards one side?
