Acoustat 1+1 weak output

Having had numerous Acoustat models 2, 2+2, 1's, 1+1, and 6's, I feel I need to let you all know that if something obvious has not faulted in the power supply.
The major source of panel leakage happens now especialy that the panels plastic honeycomb stators supports are getting old and porus, is leakage from the HT conection on the edge between the two stators to the wooden frame, I have had to repair many of this type of leakage. Over time you get a cancerous track forming form the HT conection were the HT wire attaches to the mylar via a small metal foil, this foil is on the conductive part of the mylar as well as embeded between the stator sandwhich on the edge but not right to the edge, over time humidity will cause a cancerous HT track to form to the edge were it then dissapates into the wood which also over time has become dirty and conductive.
You can test this by removing the pannel but still hooked up and powered, then with your fingers on a small long steel nail or metal skewer run the point along the seam of the two glued stators where the HT connection is made and you will get a belt of HT if it is leaking to the wood frame.
Now the only way to fix this is to dremel out the seam of plasic till you come to the metal foil conection strip, what you have done with the grinding is ot remove the cancerous HT track that has formed, now fill the the hole you have made with your wifes favourite nail polish with a few coates alowing each coat to dry.
After all this is done you need to clean the wood at the same point with metho or alcohol to bring back the wood to a dry clean state.
This has probally been about 80% out low output, low charge pobelms with all Acoustats I have repaired for my customers and my own. Except for the obvious power supply faults and small nicks in the wires from the staples that will also cause leaks.
