A while back, I bought some magnets from Supermagnetman.net. It's run by a great guy, and the prices are generally excellent. Shipping was eerily fast, and the magnets work great - sadly, my homemade electromagnetic actuators did not, but that's my fault.
I'd like to try a ribbon tweeter (preferably the most foolproof one possible - I am t3h st00pid), and this looks like a way to do it without spending a vast fortune on magnets. I'd like to build a pair of small bookshelf speakers, so a huge array of tweeters is not needed. |
