So, I've been stockpiling the old KLH 4.5 inch fullrangers for the last year, and another pair of model 19's arrived at my door this week, so I started cuttin' da wood !
For starters, I'm trying an OB panel holding 8 on each side - the extra hole is for a tweeter to be decided on as I test. Baffle edges & speaker holes have been rounded over. For the bottom few octaves, I will rely on either a KLH model 5, 6, or 17 - again, all depends on what jives best with the array. I've cut the panels to the same width as a KLH model 6, so theoretically it will sit right on top and look very nice (gotta worry about WAF ya know . . .) crossover (for now) will be passive, and using whatever caps & inductors I have on hand. ck out the picture |
