Has anyone tried this paint for a coating for building Esl speakers???

Hi
Using such graphit based products will result in a (visable) coating with a far too low resistance. Besides this, the adhesion on the Mylar is compromised. Not recommended. Some people try to remove some of the graphite with some kind of an alcohol (several types have been used) in order to get higher resistance. This method is not reproducible and fails to achieve truly high and uniform (!) resistance. |
If you want a dispersed coating, carbon black is a much better choice for a filler than graphite. It has lower conductivity and higher structure factor (i.e., it's spidery and branched). The key is the Mylar- it should be a print-treated type and, if possible, freshly corona treated.
