I havce a nice pair af ESS amt 1am (1982 mod). There is a problem, when testing I can see a 9 db dropp in frequency at about 11 - 12kHz. Have even testet the AMT alone with same result. See picture
Is this normal? Do I have to rebuild someting? (change the Heil diaphragm)(rebuild my crossover?) Is there any one who have a scematic for a new crossover? |

Does anyone have information on how to update the crossovers in these tall two-way speakers? I am looking for a drawing and the best brand and size of capacitors to change. One of my heil treeters is not as loud as the other one and I suspect their is a problem in the crossover network. Both speakers have the latest new Heil ribbons so that is not the problem. Thanks.

There are other post about crossovers for the ESS drivers - use the search function. A couple of years back one of the guys posted these xovers for use with his Peerless woofers. I hope that this will be of some help.
