I have purchase as set of heil ess drivers I believe of 1980 vintage
Grey colour and appear to be smaller than the old heil units. I cant find any specs on them. Does anyone have a guide on how low they will go? Will they go lower than 2,000Hz? Any info at all would be most gratefully receieved. |

If it's a smaller version of the Heil, just how small are we talking about?
The Heils made for the outsourced "Concept CE" line of loudspeakers, are a little smaller, but should do 1khz on up, safely. Some smaller ESS bookshelf, and smaller floor standing speakers were made back then, and the compliments of crossover freq's can be found through searching... Tempest / PS / PSH / etc. of the ESS smaller lines. I would bet in any case, that your tweeters could do 1.5khz no problem. |
