The resistance laying down (19 ohms) and standing up (8ohm) was totally wrong - battery was going out on the voltmeter... actually were more like .9 ohms...luckily the amp I was using can do 1 ohm load (Innersound ESL amp), otherwise I would have smoked the amp.

I have the two 1/2" pleated runs in series (up then down) and notice in front of the ribbons the sound seems to be canceling each other out, and off to the sides of the tweeter assembly there is descent spl. I think I need to run a return wire and have both ribbons running same direction so they are not canceling each other out?? This may be obvious to all you smart ribbon people......

Well you probably don't want to end up with them in parallel. . So maybe you could run a wire from the top of one to the bottom of the other.

Also, if you made them an eighth inch wide instead of a half inch, you would have about four Ohms.

Yes you need a return wire to get the current flow in the same direktion.

Yes, I ran a wire from top of the first to the bottom of the second, and it has very decent spl now...

I am playing with a few "variations" on the ribbons. One is to have a single ribbon twice as wide (about 1/2" wide), pleated, and "opened' into a 90 degree "V". I will likely be around .5 oms so I will have to put in a series resistor of .47ohms. Pics soon...
