Dirty fuse holders!

I thought other Magnepan owners might find this helpful...

My SMGa's were sounding a litte on the dull side earlier this week - sadly less used than I'd like, until the holiday. I found that the fuse holders had (again) tarnished and were providing less than secure contact in the tweeter circuit. A little Brasso on a Q-tip brought back the shine and the sound :)

Cheers,

Ed

Good point!

Just like the bullet connectors on my car then? SMGa, MGB, what's the difference :D

I used to use this http://productsearch.nyelubricants.c...GEL%20760G.pdf for small signal up to medium power contacts per GE reccomedations.

Interesting - thanks for the tip. Since they mention automotive applications, that would probably work nicely on the MG as well ;)
