Portable planar magnetic headphones
I am a industrial designer working on my senior thesis project. I am planing on creating a Portable Orthodynamic Headphone and I had a few questions about them. I was curios to know if it is possible to buy planar magnetic drivers or if I would have to make them. I would most likely be able to make the drivers if needed as I have before with tradition dynamic drivers and also a plasma speaker. My main question if they would be able to be driven just by a portable player or if they would need a built in amp.

Portable booster amplifiers exist for more difficult to drive headphones. rgds, sreten.
