I have a pair of Xs with rebuilt servo amps. I can play at moderate levels but as soon as the volume hits a certain level they distort particularly in the bass region. At lower volumes they are problem free. Any ideas?

How are the tubes? I experienced the same thing with the same speakers & amps. Replaced the tubes & it cleared right up.

I figured it out. CD player was clipping the pre amp. Had absolutely nothing to do with the amps or panels.
