Default where to buy mylar?

hi all.

i am started again to make some els, my first pair i built for about 15 years ago failed compled:-). but i cant find a place to buy 6um mylar here in scandinavien or europe, i have found it in taiwan but the price incuded tax porto import is very high, so my ? is is there some of your guy´s who know where i can get it. i need about 10-20 meters

ps: sorry if my english is a little bad:-)

You English is much much better than my Danish!

The reason why you are having trouble finding Mylar is that is a brand name. Try any of the other brands and you should be able to get it locally at a reasonable price.

You could also look into ER Audio in Australia. They have polyester with a variety of thicknesses well suited to electostatic speakers.

There are lots of great sources out there (even ebay). I use ER audio's mylar, and have a set of DIY esl panels that are over 10 years old now and going strong. I use their 3.5um film on the 63's and it works very well.
