Fray Check, possible ESL coating?

If you follow the link to the Fray Check FAQ near the bottom, it pretty much says this is a Nylon in Alcohol formula.

Anyone reckon this would work as a ready-mix coating for DIY panels?
It is widely available, relatively cheap (dependent on coverage in this application) and even on ebay

Next time I go out I will see if I can get some.
Their website says that it should be available in my area.

Alcohol soluble nylon is widely used by tailors as a strong hot melt glue. Already tried the one in a form of non-woven fabric glue stripes. Better check before you going to buy reasonable amount. It well might be non-woven PET with some acrylic glue.
