CONCEPT CE-M any info on these speakers from 1978. they are big 45h-18w-15.5d.
14.5 passive-12woofer-heil on top.they use all ess drivers. the front baffel is sloped they are beautiful.im thinking of making a clone.just need a 15" passive radiatior. any input appreceited. |

hi
when did you buy them. i have ess1a-m that iby amp with ess x-over at 800hz. when i saw the cm ihad visions of making a clone. i just re-capped my xovers they still soud xciting after 40 years. do you have photo with covers off. trying to see what top looks like thank you |

no photos but i received them from their original owners where they were used in a demonstration in 1976 or thereabouts and then clearance-sold as not new.
they look just as the pdf you posted and i'm in need of radiator units so i'm afraid i will have to build them myself. i don't play them as a result of this. can't expect to find loose parts like this anywhere either, especially at ess it's own self since they're so disorganized and caddywhompus in the facility. |

i just turned big 70. been with audio sinch 1962 with KLH early days.
did ESS build these speakers way back then. i saw some big passive at parts express i think they were 15". my idea of a clone would be a founteck 5" ribbon/fostex168/focal 10"woofer 10v516 with a power plate/12"dayton12"passive wich i have on hand.would it work ?????????. chow. |
