will be putting my re-builds in place all 13 of them onthe ceiling at the moment I am making the speaker cable from 1 mm cable. Hard work on the fingers plaiting that much cable. Have been hindered by toothache so I am a bit behind schedule at the moment. Am using a 7-1 amp to drive the 13 speakers. Already have 8 normal speakers which I built years ago. Using a separate 5-1 amp. Will send pictures when finished.

Default FULL SET UP FOR 9-2 AMP.

The photo show the full range planars in position on the ceiling they only weigh 5 kilos each so no problem there. All I have to do is wire them all up. This is harder than making the speakers, especially at my age. Will be glad when it is all finished. I have got to make some more cable another 76 feet should be enough (I hope). The last photo is a repeat shouldn't be their. Now the pictures have disappeared?!!?

I had difficulty cutting photos to size. Ignore the cable in the last photo it has been taken down. I didn't put the 4 speakers on the floor in the photo line up. Including these, their will be 13 speakers all together, including 2 ferrite sub woofers. I have not decided what to cover them with at the moment. Can't wait to fire them up, should be sometime next week, hopefully!!

Default Covered 5 Kilo Full range speakers for9.2 Amp.

my covered speakers in position , the next one is a new rebuild , doubled ferrites so too heavy will remove half the magnets and use thinner membrane and 4.5 mm wide foil. My new ONKYO Receiver and my old Sony one which I use with my 3 old pairs, which I built 40 years ago, and my old Revox which I bought in 1972 and it's still working.

Default Rebuild which got lost.

Have put rebuild in this time. The other two I reversed the 2 speakers because of cable restraints, from the original positions. Do you like the Holographic material on the rebuild? It looks lovely in the sun. Have 2 in the sun room covered in Holographic material.

wow you have a few tape decks, where do you keep all those, you must have a big house Jer. I have about 3 ferrographs and Akia M 8.Also got a Aiwa AP2600 Turntable I bought more than 40 years ago and that still works. My living room is jam packed with stuff also the rest of the house and about 5 sheds and a garage as well and my loft which contains thousands of valves. Bit of a hoarder I'm afraid. Keeps my brain active at least!

Ya me too! he,he
Right now there all arranged in a 9' X 10.5' area in a 18.5' X 10.5' room.
And the overflow is in the garage aswell!
I used to to have I 10' X 20' storage bin packed full to the ceiling with stuff!
So I had to do alot of sorting (and deciding).

James, how did you go about tensioning the membrane? How did you keep it consistent between both speakers?

Very cool work!
