I took a VERY long break from this hobby, but I have yet to really see anything like what I have done. So here is some more for your imagination to digest.
These are hybrids based off MMG-W's and Hi-Vi M8N. Enclosures are the Parts Express finished cabinets and each use a Parts Express 75 plate amp to drive the woofers. I built these about 5 years ago and haven't had any issues so far. Bass is limited due to 8" sealed woofer in a 0.75 cu-ft enclosure. I originally did a design with Dayton 8" quatro in a vented enclosure and they over exerted way too easy. So I went sealed to keep them undercontrol. I chose to use the MMG-W's for this because they happen to perfectly match the width of the cabinets. I also have a pair of full size MMG's that would be better speakers overall as they have better highs (due to discrete tweeter). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comparision of size of MMG-W to regular MMG's

I am contemplating something quite similar.
How is the stability of the MMG-W atop the bass cab? No wobble? I was thinking of taking the driver out of the baffle and constructing something more rigid.
