exactlly! thats why the build we be detatchable if you see. this driver i am using will carry up to or above 500hz, thats why the cross over is in the desighn, i do not wish to have a full range stat, rather, have my mids/highs vocals on the stat and the the sub do its job. i love a TL, and with this desighn, i can change it, if need be.
i will post some pics of the stat panel, as it will be floor stand or mounted atop the TL, this is a bi amped- active cross over network. I want the abbility to attenuate the sub as music is recorded differnt from one company to the next. thats why i hate MP3 format, awfull. i love analogies now.. since i heard a professionaly built planer, its like going from a bycycle to a race car, i like the race car, the bycycle can do what a race car can. so stay tuned, i am patient and still very ambitous about this. So i give thanks to everyone on this site for support and defining what music is for me, everything. please tell me, post me, if there are any better ideas or thoghts on this build, this a "start to finish" first timer, so i try and document everything. Kind regards. Mavric

some more pics up the step up transformer. Hi-pot tested @ 2000 vrms. the transformer is made bt Triad Magnetics, there are six diodes placed as anode and cathode opposing each other as well as ceramic caps as a filter, it is fused @ .25amp @ 250v.
This is something Charlie developed and was kind to share his experience and expetiece, he deserves the credit. However, he left the other one for me to build, will show pics as soon as i can, see who can solder better, JK. there are as well, but no pictures of 1 ohm 10 watt wirewound resisters that will come into play. so far, thats it, so busy at work, barely have time to share and explain this to anyone trying this first time. I will keep my info clean and stay on subject. There is also better pics of the Begringer crossover, has clipping alerts as the Adcom amps have them as well, two safe gaurds to me, class AB does not like a flat wave, clipped curve or however you can describe it, not good. please feel free for any advice or critisism, thanks. I have all the technical questions about these compents in case someone needs to know tolorence or things of that nature.

i like the looks of that crossover,if it deosn't seem to work right you can just send it to me and i'll give it the once over for ya !(he he he he heee) jer. p.s. tip : i would grind away at least one row of those pads surounding the diode conections and at least two on the output to safe gaurd against any arc over between the pads as you know it can get pretty humid in the summer time. as air has a breakdown of 100v per mil

I plan on spraying that as well, just cover the compenents, and spray the board. like the back side, simple, cover and coat.
i am curious about the once over, i am only using it for sub "mono", but notice there is no stereo out, i will take a better look at this, as i need this for my stats"primary" subs are "secondary" . the subs will probally be the last, i need a stereo cross over for my stats, and from what i see and have, this will not work, or will it? let me know if you need more info Ger, allways appreciated and noted. Mav

i mean't i wish i had it.yes it will work fine.if you end up wanting to run run the esl's full range all of the time( if ther isn't a bypass switch) you just use a rca y cable and bypass the cross over to the esl amp.i'll check out the manual again to be sure for you. jer

just use it in stereo two way mode and when you turn off the subs you just sweep the frequency all the way to 44hz and this will pass all but the the extreme lows to the esl's.there isn't much if any thing going on below 44 hz anyhow and you probably won't notice the difference with the kind of music we like. jer

Ger, these are the doo hickies they sent me, it looks like one common ground, but does not have 2 channel out, just one rca out, that corresponds on the out put of the crossover. i am pushing my 45 day limit with thing and as i read it still states stero output. If you need pics of the manual let me know please, as this is crucial, i cannot run my stats full range with what i have. especialy listining to PANTERA, SLASH, GUNS N' ROSES, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, EXODUS, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY, AC/DC, GAMMA RAY, KEEL, YNGWIE, JEFF SCOTT SOTO, and so on, if someone starts kicking that drum, i dont want the diagphram to do the same.
if it needs that once over, i will ship it to you and let you at it. its just i have so much money tied up in material now. from perf metal, MDF which i stilll need more of, to my coils, step up transformer, the laundry list goes on. as this is a start to finish, i will post all material i am using and time invested, friends like you cut it in 1/2 so that will be un chartable. here is the XLR doo hickie, thanks Ger, again.
