Looking for any suggestions on dismantling one of my Spectra 2200s which appears to have a wiring short from the interface to the panel. It looks like it because there is a black "smuge" on the back of the tan sock at the bottom. That may be what blew the rail fuse on one channel of my B&K power amp. I appreciate anyone's help. Can you take a picture of the "smuge"? Asking, because the tan material does tend to acquire dark spots with age -- at least my Acoustats did.
I would be surprised if you have any problems with the panels or wiring to the interfaces, though. IIRC, the wire Acoustat used was rated for something like 10KV, so unless the insulation has chafed or been cut, it should be fine. Do you get any output at all from the "bad" speaker? |
