Looks like it doesn't have regular spider, so there's only one suspension structure like a dome tweeter. I'm wondering if there'd be any VC rocking/robbing issues since such construction can not assure pure axial motion, especially in large excursion....

No rocking or rubbing at full excursion. True pistonic action at all levels up to Xmax. Similar in design to the Fostex SLE Edgeless design. Fully tested and very nice drivers. Very tight, fast and solid low end.

Why not? I would think that with the inherent strength of a dome that it could be a superior design. I would also guess that manufacturing them is a real pain and costly. I was just curious when I saw them on ebay, searched and found this thread and was curious how they performed.
