Any measurements? I really cannot understand why use dome for a woofer

Why not? I would think that with the inherent strength of a dome that it could be a superior design. I would also guess that manufacturing them is a real pain and costly. I was just curious when I saw them on ebay, searched and found this thread and was curious how they performed.

Yes, why not ?
For instance, an inverted dome is used in the Cabasse 55ND woofer.
