Default What Amp for ESLs?

I've been using a class-A amp(15W) or a GainClone(50W) to drive my ESL-speakers and it has worked well so far.
But I would like to build a more suitable amp as impedace measurements have shown my speakers to be a quite nasty load. Impedance drops to ¨0.3 Ohms at 20kHz and the 3A resp. 6A my amps manage to deliver is a bit on the slim side!

What I¨m looking for is something you could use to weld your car with if you wanted!

Has any one any sugestions or pointers at what designs to study?

You would be better served posting this in the solid state section . What you are looking for is a current amp as oppose to a voltage amplifier .

Yes, I just taught that the builders of ESL-speakers that browse this part of the forum, had experience of what to try and what not to try!

How about paralelled gainclones for more current?

If not, the Krell Clone KSA50 would fit the bill nicely

Paralelled Gain Clones has been on my mind for a while actualy!
Posted a question in the Chip Amp section about this but I was advised not to go down that road for a couple of reasons.

I think I'll try it anyway, at least as a test, as I'm going to build some boards with LM3886 for an active x-over experiment.

I'll look into the Krell Clone and perhaps give it a try this winter!

Get a tube amp and use Pass' F4 as the front end to deliver the current. Maybe monoblocked.

i mean put the F4 just before your ESLs, between the amp and the speakers.
