Monsoon 1000 Schematics & Specs

I have a Monsoon 1000 that needs a little TLC. I don't have any info on it and would like to get my hands on the schematic for the amplifer board and any other info re specs etc.

I would also like to know why/what the difference is between input 1 and input 2.

Good luck on the schematic... we bought the 5 pallets of remains from the North American Monsoon repair depot and they were unable/unwilling to supply us with any repair manuals or schema.

Try http://www.hifiengine.com for amplifier schematics and more. Your amp might be one of those listed. You can also request schematics very easily. You have to register but its free and takes less than 5 mins. Good Luck.

What are you calling TLC? Repair or upgrades?

I have taken photos and noted which ICs are inside for a future upgrade, but I wasn't going to do anything drastic, probably just improve the PS and swap op amps.

My MM1000 has only one input.

I'm about to do the same thing (albeit more drastic, I'm thinking about to replacing the amplifier with something from tripath), but would it make sense to get a new subwoofer instead?

I feel the size of the woofer is the weak link in mine. But just now I have no urge to re-build the whole box (and xo and amplifiers), although I feel it could be much better...
