These new Air Motion Tweeters look like a prime candidates for the ultimate multiway open baffle loudspeaker:

Great news.
Lots of HEIL choices coming on line--lets see these, the Beyma's, the Dreams from Mark and Daniel, as well as Adam, etc. I'm with you on the multiway OB. I'm now leaning to something along the lines of a Phoenix with this as a tweeter in an MTM. John |

Hi all,
I have become fascinated with this AMT technology, and really want to explore using one in a DIY speaker. With new companies producing AMT's, is there a kit available for DIY? I attended a Hifi show recently and all the speakers I liked the sound of had fancy tweeters and large drivers, Unfortunately they came with large price tags! way over my head. My initial thoughts would be a valve friendly 3 way with a 10-12" bass unit. i only have a 13 x 14 ft listening room, but would like natural bass extension with out ports or special cabinets. Many thanks Ian |
