Planar magnetics & ribbons

Hi,

Here is a pair of loudspeakers I have made with the excellent Hygeia drivers. Their staff was very supportive and welcoming with my particular needs. I wanted a ribbon tweeter with a flat foil and an open back midrange magnetostat (their original one was closed on the back).

Amazing job! Could you comment on the differences between those planar mids and the neo8?

I would say Hygeia RM-8402 is much better IMHO, but please notice my version was different than the stock unit, which is closed at the back (mine was open - dipole). However, I feel they are best used in an dipole fashion, like on the prototype loudspeaker below:

I don't see any prices on Hygeia's pages.
How much did you pay for the mids and the tweeters?

Looks like realy nice speakers. Good job ;)

Don`t hesitate to inquiry them, the prices are good.

It is Hygeia RM 8402, but it is not a stock unit, as I have requested an open back.
The stock unit is

The RM-8401 http://www.hg-audio.com.tw/ribbon-RM8401.htm looks like a clone of the Monsoon driver. Some of the others look like the BG Neo8 and other BG drivers Maybe this is where they have them made?
