I want to know if I can use an 813 for the plasma tweeter? I thought a el34 (triode connected) > 813.
I have seen this: http://www.emsp.tu-berlin.de/lehre/m...smalautspr250W using a 4/400a. If using an 813 is possible, what operating conditions should I go for? i.e., cathode modulation? fixed grid bias? what anode voltage? And what driver/coupling should I try? |

Hi Frank, Yea, thanks. I read it where I could. ( Pleanty of fancy pictures, but not really many clear details in english.)
Why does he use 2 electrodes? one silver, one tungsten? And, why does he diss this guy? http://www.plasmatweeter.de/eng_plasma.htm#Spule |

Please be sure to place your plasma tweeter *inside* a shielded, grounded enclosure.
A tube like a 4-400 or an 813 is capable of significant RF output. ANY RF beyond 100mw IS ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL IN ALMOST EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Plus you can interfere with all sorts of other communication and services at distances exceeding 1,000 miles away from you!! The output of a plasma frequency is HIGH in RF Intermodulation products. Your output is NOT just on one single frequency!! PLEASE PRACTICE GOOD RF PRACTICES - SHIELD AND GROUND YOUR PLASMA TWEETER. _-_-bear
