Hi, quick question on the ESL63 step-up transformers - does anybody know the ratio of these? from the schematic posted at sheldon's world (www.quadesl.com) it seems that each speaker has two transformers for the two polarities...
thanks in advance hesener PS: yes I searched andcould not find anything around here.... one post was talking about "more than 1:200" but no more precise than that...... |

Hi,
my Infos say 1:260-1:270. Any of said numbers means a ridiculously high value. But the concept of the ESL63 demands higher transformation factors than other designs jauu Calvin |

Hi,
quote from the Baxandall article: "...in the Quad Esl-63, where two seperate transformers, each of ratio 1:122,5 are used to drive the plates, rather than a single transformer with a centre tapped secondary." Harry |
