Thanks Vitalstates.
I read them, but I would like some more.
Anyway, my mind is made. It is only a matter of time and money.

Default ERAUDIO ACORNS

Hi
I have a pair of acorns and with no affiliation to eraudio, I love them. They just seem to get better and better as my equipment improves. I have not heard the esl III, so I am unable to advise on a comparison between the two.

Send me a PM for my details as I am happy to talk with you about my experiences.

Cheers
Greg

Hi PixelPlay,

Looks like you will have to email me.
I can only possibly contact you through the administrator.
Please feel free to email me.

Let me save the rest of you some time: In the first video there is actually no shot of the whole speaker, but plenty of the knotty pine floor....

I finally got down to building a transmission line SW using a HiVi D8.8 (1.6m tapered). This was after trying them in a closed box and vented over the last couple of years. These are fairly cheap drivers apparently trying to copy Dynaudio.

The TL sound really good to me and in my room absolutely necessary.
Rough measurments in my room show the ESL III starts to drop off just below 100 Hz in my room. With the TL I measure right down to 30 Hz at around -6 DB with minor adjustment on a Reckhorn subwoofer amp. My room is large and comprises family room/dining leading on to the kithchen so pretty difficult conditions.

I will post some picts in the subwoofer section later and sometime soon get down to building the second and run them in stereo. It's amazing how a good subwoofer seems to bring out the best in a speaker.

Has anyone ever posted a frequency response graph and waterfall graph for any of the ER Audio speakers? They might make me rethink my plans to build a "flea-powered" amp and 100dB speakers...
