Hello everyone!
I'm trying to make the transition from car audio into home audio. The car is a nasty place to try to reproduce music truthfully... anyways, I have a pair of Aurum Cantus G2 ribbons I'd like to put to use. I have not used them yet, so I dont even know much about them at all. Unfortunately, this is all I have. I tried searching for proven designs using this tweeter, but was unable to come to any. Can someone help me out to get into home audio ??? Thanks, Andres. |

Well, dont worry about boring anyone ... you are here, thats a begin, right
You have a very nice ribbon and want to use it and learn some, and want good honest sound ... I wont confuse you already with suggestions, but rather point you in the direction where I think this ribbon is best used I suggest you search threads with MLTL or BIB ... I think its a good place to start http://www.quarter-wave.com/index.html btw ... AN 12" fullrange seems hot at the moment, but maybe a bit difficult ... but there is lots of information and friendly, dedicated and helpfull people in the fullrange threads And you might also be interested in this thread ... your ribbon might be useable there too, but could be tricky All Eminence OB |

This design uses the G3 Si - but you might be able to sub the G2 with a little bit of work on the crossover. Contacting the designer might help.

The Supravox 165 GMF could be a good match. Same sensitivity and high bandwidth for very simple crossover. Suitable for BR, in contrast to most other high-sensitivity widebanders.
