i have a pair of esl63s and was just wondering what valve amp would suite them best at the moment im using a shitty yaquin amp and a musical fidelity phono staget atatched to a linn and koetsu black.. im looking for somthing that will drive these speakers proply any ideas most welcome

Quad and OTL´s. Maybe the perfect match.
You can build your own from scratch. I´m sourcing now parts for the Transcendent T8 OTL amplifier for my Quad Esl-63. Schematics are in the book "Audio Reality" from Bruce Rozenblit. 80 Watt in 8 Ohm for the mono blocks should drive the 63 well. Harry |
