would this schematic (modified of corse) work for a power supply for an electrostatic speaker?

http://stungunreviews.tripod.com/imgs/stun-gun-schematic-555.gif

it produces 2000 volts...

also, do i need to do anthing to the audio source? or do i just attatch the + and - to the front and back strators?

THANKS!

Hello ,
The link does not work . For ESL's , all you need is a cockroft-walton multiplier feeding the diaphragm with a high value charge resistor . 2000V is very easy to achieve , doubtful anything more complex is required

voltage multipliers

...hope this helps .

cheers
