you could try and build a 'Duelund' resistor
its 'just' a graphite pencil

termination at the ends is tricky, and may not be 100% reliable, but worth a try for this 'simple task'

could be worth to remember that the linear reisistor will be a much easier load for a power amp
and you might get away with quite low impedance
