AMT : new player in the game

There are only very few AMT available for DIY - ESS, Eton, Mundorf, Beyma, Aurum Cantus (?) - and all are insane expensive given the easy construction.

Here is a new one from Harwood Acoustics called "AM 25 AIR MOTION" - welcome !

Seems not much more data available at the moment except a short test in a German magazine where shown data (CSD in particular) look even a little bit better.
Low distortion even up to high levels not exactly on par to competitors but almost

In the mentioned magazine there are two other AMT form Harwood Acoustics advertised called AM30 and AM35.

They are bigger (150x110mm 180x100mm), have increased sesitivity (~1dB ~2dB), increased power handling (100W 120W) and more are expensive (plus EUR 100.- 200.-)

Didn't find any additional data for those...

Some AMT must be assembled by hand (Procide, Mundorf).

what parts of the AMT could that possibly be - and - how much time would that steps actually consume ?

I mean
- usually you have the magnets plus top and bottom plate
- the diaphragm in its frame plus glued terminals

anything else?

And who builds the Aurum Cantus drivers:tilt:

In China you really don't know.
But it looks like that the are developed by Jinlang Audio. But were they are manufactured :confused:

Same thing with the Hygeia Aero Striction Tweeters and Ribbons. Looks like a lot of well known brands are just relabeled Hygeia ribbons.

Theres a new AMT available for the DIYer:

Expolinear OHT-25
according to a German DIY magazine its EUR 76.-/ each,

Looks like to be the same tweeter used in some of the ADAMS monitors.
It does not seem to be possible to convert to dipole operation easily, FR is a little bit rugged.

Telling from plots, with some EQing might be it could be used up from 3kHz reaching out to roughly 30kHz (on axis)
THD isn't as exceptional as the expensive AMT's though
