I tried searching but no luck. I have a pair of Fountek Neo cd3's laying around and one of them is dead. Even when i replace the ribbon, no sound comes out whatsoever. The other one works fine. I have to admit I did mess with the screws at the top and bottom of the ribbon and I'm assuming that what messed it. Does anyone know what could kill a ribbon tweeter and if it's possible to get it working again?

The black box behind the ribbon element is a simple step down xfmer. Your ohm meter is your friend here. Forget measuring actual ohms on either coil, too low, just look for continuity. You will need to open the ribbon circuit at one end to see if you have xfmer continuity through the ribbon end clamps.
