I was surprised at the increase in sound quality when I upgraded my laptop from a Dell 6400 to Alienware 7280.

I thought that as everything was in the digital domain it would not make any difference?

I use the computer as a digital source via Foobar for my 4 way active system into a Level 4 Lampizator Dac and Marchand crossover.

Why?
