I feel I've stepped into some strange alternative dimension here. 'zero percent' or '50% sound degradation' without any idea of what these mean. BugHeadEmperor as a name, InfinityBlade and AllCoreCures whatever they are without any explanation, checking and starting windows services twice??? Huge hardware requirements (quite possibly not because it is doing anything especially useful but because it has been apparently written in 13 million lines of basic of all things). A web site that seemed to talk more about curing medical issues with vitamin C than audio.

Truly this seems a bizarre alternative reality to anything normally audio related.

Thanks so much Tyimo for the file 4.75 version.
I am not currently home so cannot try it with a usb dac but was interested to see what it looked like and how it worked so tried installing on my spare desktop.

Despite all the requirements listed on the install pages (Win 7, usb Dac, memory and processor etc) it installed without problems on a dual core AMD with 6GB ram, running Vista 😱 and plays fine through the Audigy Pci card !!

I am sure I will have a lot of fun with the Bughead....if nothing else there are many strange and wonderfully named options to try !!

Any tips, tricks, beginners advice would be most appreciated.

Seems the author doesn't want older versions floating around as he has deleted his onedrive accounts that contained older releases and nearly any link to older versions I've found are dead. After much digging though I came up with a link for version 3.33. I'm not sure of the relation to using the allcoresanycures.exe and rewrite.exe but this version seems to work fine with or without them. Rewrite can be used by itself on your music directories, I use version 2.61, and the sse2 version of allcoresanycures 17.6. This is on an AMD A6 based system. Making any sense out of what the author says about anything is about impossible.

I personally don't think it is any better overall. It's more of a novelty to me since there"s no way to tell what the settings even do and it's not all that stable. The 7.27 version I have to delete the device.dat file in the directory every time or it crashes on start up. It uses extremely heavy dsp and sound shaping on most settings so it's not exactly very "pure" either. The use of these effects is the cause of the high ram requirements. The rewrite program I suppose is useful since it does a defrag of the audio files. If the author weren't so, lets say unusual, and more up front about it so people could set it up correctly it may well be a pretty good player.
