I'm not an android user, so excuse the n00b question. What's the best config of Moode to enable playing from an Android phone?

Open with Chrome browser, open Chrome options, "save to desktop" or whatever the option is.... Only works if you have a fixed IP address for the MoOde box though.
I find the library takes a while to load and is not really usable on a phone screen. I use browse instead.
Would also like that natty quick scrolling function that native Android apps have.... <hint> Though I guess limitations of the Chrome browser may prevent.
Erm.... Another option is to turn on UPNP and DLNA on MoOde and use say Bubbleupnp on the phone.

I think that's the answer I was looking for 🙂
Android doesn't do Airplay, by the looks of it 🙁
I'm a newbee in moode and installed mooderpi3.img as I have the RPi3. Seems like installation worked out fine but how to start the GUI? (feeling a bit stupid to ask this kind of basic Q)
I don´t have contact using diyAudio server HTTPS page. However I can login as root using SSH. I have tried to reboot but the application does not seem to start.
Raspberry Pi 3
My Raspberry Pi 3 and DAC came in the mail yesterday. I'm not in a big hurry to get it set up with MoOde, but I'm curious how other Pi 3 users are faring? Best to just wait for MoOde 2.6?
My non GUI brain hasn't been in use for many years. I'd like my first Pi experience to be rainbows and unicorns. I can dream.

If you use the modified 2.5 version for the Pi3 posted by henrylarsen it's quite easy. Just follow the set-up instructions on the Moode website.
RasPi 3: Better Sound Quality?
Hi everybody,
did anybody hear differences in sound quality between RasPi 2 and 3?

The Jazz Groove
Anyone else experiencing this?
When I try to play the pre-defined radio channel "The Jazz Groove", [Station URL h t t p://199.180.72.2:8015], streaming starts and immediately stops again. The Jazz Groove graphic flashes briefly before reverting to the default MoOde graphic.
I went to the Jazz Groove website and saw they are making an impassioned plea for more subscribers. Don't know if that is the issue, but if I use the station URL I found there, [h t t p://mp3-128.streamthejazzgroove.com/], streaming works fine here in Maryland.
Regards,
Kent
PS - I inserted spaces in "h t t p:" to stop the diyaudio CMS from interpreting the URLs. Too lazy to experiment with all the fancy-smancy tags.
PPS - I have no problem becoming a subscriber to the Jazz Groove, it's a great Internet source of music I like. It's the stream that's my problem.

I've completed a scan of the music share on my NAS... The entire contents of my music share appears under Browse/NAS, but the Library tab only shows a fraction of the share's contents (I think it's only showing the contents of one of the share's sub-directories).
Is there a fix for this?
Thanks

There's an "update" action on the folders in the browse panel, ISTR.

Just tried a Pi3 today with a HiFiBerry and Meridian Explorer 2 DAC and to my ears everything sound brighter but not in a good way which is strange maybe there's a different sound profile or something
The Pi2 has a nice warm sound with both DAC's which i may go back to

Hi Kent,
The Jazz Groove migrated from a single stream to two streams, not sure why. Most of the time both streams have the same content but not always, and I've experienced occasional dropouts with the new streams. The new links are below and will be included in Moode 2.6
The Jazz Groove - East
http://east1-aac-64.streamthejazzgroove.com:80/stream
The Jazz Groove - West
http://west1-aac-64.streamthejazzgroove.com:80/stream
Regards,
Tim

I haven't done a careful comparison, but I didn't notice any obvious difference.

I only have a pi-1B and a pi-3, so I can't compare Pi-2 and Pi-3, but in case you use a USB-DAC and use WLAN it may be better to use a pi-3. This is because of the pi-3 has now the build-in WiFi-adapter which is not part of the USB-bus. I noticed with my 1B small clicks during playback (very small but noticable). I assume it has something to do with the shared bus for Ethernet and USB. The playback is now clear of clicks.

OK, thanks. Modulo my choice of mp3 instead of aac, this is the same info I got from their site (appending /stream seems necessary for streaming if I surf to the URL using a web browser but not when I use the URL in a MoOde radio entry).
I was hoping that using their "universal" URL instead would avoid having to have "east" and "west" entries in your list since their DNS service and Icecast service apparently deal with load splitting behind the curtain. It seems to be so for me, at least, but YMMV 🙂
