Default internal PC crossover on multichannel card

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for simple subwoofer driver for PC. Have anyone heard for some crossover solutions for PC? I have a 4 output USB channel sound card that supports ASIO etc. I would like get my usual stereo audio from media players, web etc to ouput 1 & 2 hi pass from 85Hz and mixed left&right outputs on output 3 low pass from 85Hz. Any ideas?

Which soundcard? E-mu and MOTU have DSP software in their mixers that will do crossover and eq. I use a e-mu 0404 to perform crossover duty, and ute a signal out to another card to perform D/A because the card only has two outputs. Since you have four, it should be easy, relatively speaking, if your card has DSP.

If you're willing to look at Linux, there's an excellent article that I followed and am very pleased with the results: Digital Crossover/EQ with Open-Source Software: HOWTO | Richard's Stuff

All the software noted is free, open-source. Doesn't need a powerful PC, either. My old Pentium II laptop does quite well.

Audio card is M-Audio Fast Track Pro. It doesn't have DSP. The idea is to use PC normally like any other, but all the sounds, that are played on to the PC, are routed to left, right, & subwoofer e.g. outputs 1-3. It's just a my lazyness to get some analog crossover & signal summer PCB done to convert stereo signal to hipass L&R + lowpass SUM.

Looks like, it can be done by means of Jriver, set up as a virtual host.
Hasn't tried by myself yet.
