Hello.
I have long intend to transfer my LynxTwo-A into the external PCI Expansion Box, but instead of using stock SM PSU, I want to build High-Quality linear PSU (with extremely low ripple), to achieve of these two main objectives - to get rid of EMI interference and to give a clean supply.
How much, do you think, it can improve the sound (and the measurements) of my LynxTwo-A ?
Your opinions will be greatly appreciated,
Valery

Hi there.
There are Fibre PCI(-e) extensions (as well as Fibre-USB-(3.0)).
Only this way you'll decouple 100% from the PC.
Inmate Ackcheng is using one of those Adnaco devices.
He seems to be quite happy with it. He also applied a separate PS to the extension board.
The nice thing about it is that you theoretically don't have to put a PC inside your audio room anymore. You just run a fibre to your remote server.
That you might consider if you think it's too expensive,
Cheers
