CAPS v2 and VFD

I am building the CAPS v2 from computer Audiophile and I have the OrigenAE M10 case with the VfD 310 display. I can't figure out how to power this display since the Jetway motherboard is powered directly from a 12 volt external source. Has anyone had success with this or is able to help me out. Thanks

This probably won't help, but...
The display was not intended to be a part of the CAPS v2.0. In fact, the intent was to remove almost all the innards of the case before proceeding. I was a bit disappointed in this when I built the CAPS v2.0 a few months ago.
As I recall, there were a couple of posts about getting the display to work, but Chris didn't feel it was worthwhile.
