Hey,MP3 PLAYER from PC CD-ROM or DVD-ROM is it posibile to transform a pc cd/dvd-rom into a stand allone mp3 aplication , if yes how,anibody did this ? Whould be cool ! Thank you !

Possible, but complicated. It would be easier and cheaper to just buy an MP3 CD player from eBay. Sony made a bunch of different models that play MP3 and ATRAC from CDROM. I've been picking them up at yard sales and thrift stores for $2 to $5 here in Canada. They may be less common in your country. Search eBay for Sony D-NE* or D-NF*
My biggest beef with them is that the battery compartment is under the CD, so changing the battery means that the resume memory is lost, and some configuration settings go back to the defaults. Very few models have the socket for a wired remote; there may be a model with S/PDIF out. |
