Good DIY PC to Spdif coverter

With good I mean better or on par with Hiface EVO.
With DIY I mean there should be a PCB to buy or files to make one from.

How about starting with something like the ADSTech "Instant Music" and modifying or adding on a better analog section? It uses the PCM2902E; same chip as the Behringer UCA-202, but performs better: RightMark Audio Analyzer test: comparison
It has RCA line in and out, Toslink in and out. Plenty of room in the case and on the circuit board for modifications.
