What utility allows you to convert flac and other formats to mp3, and specify the mp3 bit rate?
Thanks

I use FLAC frontend to convert to wav first. A search for audio format converters should provide a bunch of options.

I found so far NCH's Switch, which doesn't allow specifying the mp3s' bit rate; and One-click, which is $30 . .

I tried Switch for a while. Jetted it. Goldwave will do what you want, but it's not a utility, it's a full-blown audio editor. And free to try.

Thanks, I could use foobar, but that sounds like overkill for simple conversions?

thanks for the suggestions guys
GoldWave being a full-blown audio editor is $49 to buy> for only conversions , One-click is $19 less. WinFF doesnt seem do MP3s(!) I'll look at dBPoweramp, $38 but some nice options

I would just grab FLAC frontend and CDex. Both free.

Which of FLAC frontend and CDex is the converter?
