Question media player software wich can running in DOS ?

Hi everybody. I'm newbie here. Does anyone can suggest me about the best media player software wich can running in DOS ? I'm just starting to build digital player using my old notebook (Toshiba Satellite). Is it possible to run it only on DOS ?
