I have a Compaq EVO T20 Windows NT Embedded version that I followed a tutorial on unlocking the OS and installing upgraded USB drivers to accept a usb storage device. I then installed Soniq Media Player and loaded some mp3s onto the flash drive. I'm quite impressed with these little units. They come in either Win CE, Win NTe, or Win XPe models. The CE ones are best to leave to Linux gurus to custom build an OS for, however the Win NT and XP versions have some potential to be used for whatever you can think of. They take very little power and space.
Anyone else try repurposing these or other thin clients as digital music players? |
