Until now I use EAC to split 16bit wav files.
Since harddrive space keeps getting cheaper I plan to keep the records I make from vinyl in 24bit format.
EAC leaves me with just noise in 24 bit unless I need to change a setting.
If not, does anyone know of a reliable .wav file splitter for 24bit? The platform is Windows XPPro.

If it already is in EAC's format (a plain textfile, extension .CUE) just load it, otherwise you must reformat it to EAC format. Easiest thing might be to open an existing EAC cue file and edit it. Omit all the INDEX00 lines, INDEX01 is the starting point of the audio. This is OK for the purpose of splitting.

EDIT: I recognize CueListTool can export .cue-files, so this should be easy... no need for editing...
