Managed to get my hands on some boards.....but mostly just reading about it. One conversation between Blitz and HifiZen suggests 4.75K. Just trying to verify that its 4.75K instead of the original 47.5K.

The set of R11 in series with V1 (100K pot) is to adjust
the bias flowing through R5 (0.22). If the V1 is open by accident, the maximum bias goes up to 3A independent of R11 value. Meanwhile, if V1 is shorted by different accident, the minimum bias will be decided depending on R11 value. Almost all mouths of class A amp fans around here do believe the-higher-bias-the-better-sound. If so, why try to set up the minimum possible bias low? Would go with 47.5K as original. Grey’s brain has walked through the circuit . . . I hope . . . |
